‘WandaVision’ Spinoff ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ Casts Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza joins Kathryn Hahn in Marvel Studios’ Agatha: Coven of Chaos on Disney+ Diversity learned from the eyes.

The series is a spin-off of Marvel’s WandaVision, with Khan reprising her role as Agatha Harkness. Exact plot details, including the character Plaza will play on the show, are being kept under wraps. Emma Caulfield Ford is also set to reprise her role as Dottie from WandaVision in the new series. Diversity “Heartstopper” star Joe Locke has exclusively announced that he will also star in “Chaos Coven”.

As usual, Marvel doesn’t comment on the projects it’s working on. Plaza representatives declined to comment.

The role marks a reunion for Plaza and Hahn, as both previously appeared on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, with Plaza starring as April Ludgate and Hahn playing political strategist Jen Barkley in about a dozen episodes. Plaza currently stars in the second season of the HBO anthology series White Lotus, as well as the FXX animated series Little Demon. He is known for his roles in shows like Parks and Recreation and Legion. He starred in such projects as “Dirty Grandpa”, “Ingrid Goes West” and “Emily the Criminal”.

Plaza is managed by CAA, MGMT Entertainment and Schreck Rose.

Diversity An exclusive reported Coven of Chaos was in the works in October 2021, with Disney officially confirming the news in November of that year. Jack Schaefer, head writer and executive producer of WandaVision, will return to the same role on Chaos Coven.

In WandaVision, Han began playing the role of Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s neighbor, until it was revealed that she was actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch. In the Marvel comics and TV series, Agatha survives the Salem Witch Trials and matches Wanda, the Scarlet Witch. When viewers last saw her in the “WandaVision” finale, Wanda traps Agatha in Westview using her powers to revert to her Agnes identity.

WandaVision, the first live-action MCU show on Disney+, earned 23 Emmy nominations during its debut, including one for Han for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series. One of the show’s winners was for best music and lyrics for “Agatha All Together,” which Khan’s character used as part of defining who she is not.
