The Day Before for PC delayed to November 10

Publisher MyTona and developer Fntastic have delayed the PC version of the open-world survival massively multiplayer online game The Day Before from the previously planned release date of March 1 to November 10, citing a trademark dispute as the reason.

“Prior to the release, Steam blocked our game page at the request of a private individual, because of the name ‘The Day Before,’” the companies said in a joint statement. “As you know, our game was announced in January 2021. At the time of the announcement, ‘The Day Before‘ game trademark exists. After the announcement of the game, the aforementioned individual filled an application before us to register the trademark of the game ‘The Day Before‘ in the United States.”

According to the companies, while an extended gameplay video is planned to be released later this month, they first need to settle this trademark issue. In a separate tweet, Fntastic SAYS“For the gameplay video, we will consult with the lawyers first, and then we can publish it.”

The Day Before also planned to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at a later date.
