Migos: Takeoff’s last Instagram story before the fatal shooting

Takeoff, a member of the rap trio Migos, was shot and killed on Tuesday (November 1) in Houston, Texas.

The rapper – whose full name is Kirshnik Hari Ball – was 28 years old.

At approximately 2:34 a.m. local time (7:34 a.m. GMT), police were called to a shooting outside 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in downtown Houston, where a private party of about 40 people was taking place.

Takeoff and his Migos bandmate Quavo are both in attendance. Quavo – real name Queus Keyat Marshall – was not hurt by the scandal. Offset, the third member of Migos, was absent.

According to reports, after a dice game, an argument broke out and shots were fired. Flyaway was pronounced dead at the scene.

Industry figures and fans were saddened by his death and remembered the late rapper on social networks.

Celebrities such as James Corden, Drake, SZA, Outkast and Khloe Kardashian have shared posts remembering the rapper.

So far, no suspects have been arrested, with Houston Police Chief Troy Finner urging witnesses to “amplify” the shooting.

Police, as well as the rapper’s fans, have called on others to take down graphic videos of the incident that have gone viral online.


Metro Boomin respects flying

Metro Boomin, who produced Migos’ hit song “Bad and Boujee,” took to Twitter to mourn Takeoff’s death.

“I cannot express in words what a bright and genuine soul she was,” read part of her heartfelt tribute.

James Corden said he was “absolutely devastated” by the flight’s death.

James Corden said he shared “unforgettable moments” at Takeoff and fondly recalled the American rapper calling him “The Big Drop”.

Host of the US program Late night show said the artist “wanted Migos to exist” and that they had become “one of the most influential rap groups of this generation.”


Offset pays tribute to his Migos bandmate

Offset and Quavo have yet to issue a full statement following Flight’s death.

However, Offset paid a subtle tribute to his late Migos bandmate by changing his profile photos on his social media profiles to those of Takeoff.

The Harris County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of her death as “a self-inflicted gunshot wound” and ruled her death a “homicide.”

A new mural has been erected in Atlanta in honor of Takeoff

An underpass in Atlanta, Georgia is now painted with “Takeoff”.

Takeoff was a native of Lawrenceville, near Atlanta, along with Migos star Offset.

The mural is located under the John Lewis Freedom Parkway Bridge near Fourth Ward Park.

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball team honors flight

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball team is one of the latest to honor Takeoff.

In the build-up to last night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, it was “all the Migos music for the Lakers warmed up tonight as a tribute to flying,” wrote Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.

The Lakers were also the team of former basketball player Kobe Bryant, who tragically died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, along with his daughter Gianna and seven others.
