Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been available on the Nintendo Switch for a few weeks now and since the release, there have been many concerns raised about the game’s technology issues. Although the ninth generation was a step in the right direction for the series with new open-world gameplay, performance issues and bugs made it difficult for some trainers to enjoy.
Today, in an update, Nintendo announced a new update for Scarlet and Violet that will be released on 1st December (aka later today). In addition to the full patch notes via the official support page, it also apologizes for the gameplay issues and talks about how it’s taking player feedback on board and aims to provide trainers throughout world with “positive experience”.
“We know that players may encounter issues that affect the performance of games. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience in our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take feedback from players seriously and work on improvements to the games.
As for the update (Version 1.1.0), players can expect Season 1 ranked battles in the game, a music fix and “other selected bug fixes” that are not detailed:
ver. 1.1.0 (Released on December 1, 2022)
– Season 1 of Ranked Battles will begin, allowing you to enjoy Ranked Battles through Battle Stadium.
– Please check the in-game announcement for more details about Ranking Battles Season 1.
– An issue has been fixed that caused the music to not play correctly during the battles of the Elite Four and the Top Champion on Victory Road.
– Some selected bug fixes have been done.
