Black Friday has turned into a full shopping week as many retailers post their best deals today.

“Deals and finding the best markdown are definitely the number one things people look for as they make their purchasing decisions,” says Jacob Palmer of BestReviews, a website focused on helping consumers to get the best products at the best price.

It is owned by our parent company Nexstar.

“Every year it’s toys and electronics and that’s what people are looking for this time of year,” Palmer said.

His advice – look for prices on gadgets that are about 20 to 30 percent off.

Palmer recently shared some of BestReview’s top picks for the holidays, like the Samsung Freestyle Projector.

“It allows you to point it at any surface on any wall which is great for a projector it calibrates automatically, and it has the same functionality as a smart TV,” Palmer explained.

For the gamer in your life, check out the Garmin Approach smartwatch.

“What we love about it — it gives you yardages on everything, it gives you the map of the course on your wrist,” Palmer said.

Garmin Approach will also track your score and more.

For kids, Palmer recommends the Toniebox Audio Player thanks to its unique spin on entertainment.

Place a fun number on top and it will come to life with music, stories, and more.

The best part: no distracting screens, because kids have had enough of that.

For the meat lover, the Meater is a high-tech thermometer that connects to a smartphone to let you know when the meat is at the perfect temperature.

“If the person you’re shopping for likes to grill, likes to smoke meat, this is the perfect product for them,” Palmer said.

For everything on your list, check out the Aura WiFi frames. A digital picture frame is one of my personal favorite gifts to give because you can send photos from your phone to the frame of family members. The photo will then be added to their slideshow.

“It’s great that they can send the images and save them in real time even if they live hundreds of miles away,” Palmer said.

Other gift ideas include the Solo Stove, DJI Mini 2 and the Ember Mug. Happy shopping!
