Drew Barrymore says she’s ‘done everything’ in the bedroom: ‘Those days are long gone’

Drew Barrymore opened up about her experiences in the bedroom on her podcast on Friday.

In an episode of “Drew News,” Barrymore spoke to co-host Ross Matthews about the Netflix show “How to Build a Sex Room,” and revealed that when she was younger, she was willing to try anything in the bedroom.

“I’m a dirty bird … but in the corners of my mind that I can never tell, and that’s just for me,” Barrymore said. “I understand some bad things. Listen, I’ve tried everything. I’ve done everything. So I’m really bored right now.”

Asked if she had a favorite, Barrymore wasn’t entirely sure: “I don’t know if I was into it or not. I wanted to try everything.”

“Gone are those days,” he said. “When I was little, I had all the power in the world, and now? No”.

Asked if she would like a “sex room” in her home, Barrymore said she wouldn’t, but if she was “tasked with designing a sex room” she would “avoid all the clichés.”

“There wouldn’t be one flat velvet,” Barrymore said. After much thought, she added, “Maybe that’s why I don’t want sex rooms, I don’t like the way they look.”

It’s not the first time Barrymore has opened up about her bedroom life, explaining on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show in October that she’s been celibate since her 2016 split from ex-husband Will Kopelman.

On the show, Barrymore discussed what actor Andrew Garfield said about his six-month rejection.

“What’s wrong with me? Six months doesn’t seem like a long time,” Barrymore said.

“Some people get out of a marriage or relationship and may soon find themselves in another relationship. There’s nothing wrong with that! Not one bit. I don’t judge! I celebrate their journey! Because for some people, it really works. That’s work for me. didn’t,” Barrymore wrote on her blog.

“I had to be very nonchalant and respectful, and mourn the loss of the nuclear family that I had vowed to have for my daughters, and grace and acceptance, and what would be the new normal of a blended family?” .

“I’m starting to laugh that it’s just not my personal preference to be with a partner, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen one day. I just need time. And my attitude towards sex has really changed. .

She commented in her blog post that she “doesn’t hate sex” but understands that “love and sex are not the same thing.”

She also explained that her breakup “rock(ed) (her) to (her) core” because she thought she would be with that person forever after marriage. He now admits that his love for his daughters and himself is enough.

“It took time. I’m proud to have taken this time,” he said. “It’s something I had to do as an individual and not just me, and I respect that and I respect myself because I respect other people for their choices.”
